Today, I wanted to share a little gem I discovered in the Stampin’ Up! Annual catalog. It is on page 91 called Bird Ballad Suite.
For this project I used the Bird Ballad Laser-Cut Cards & Tin, Cherry Cobbler and Rococo Rose Cardstock, Label Me Pretty Stamp set and the Label Me Pretty Punch.
I created two cards, one landscape and one portrait to show that you can orientate the card either way. I cut the card stock 4 1/8 by 5 3/8 so it fit underneath the laser cut panel. I placed glue around the solid edges of the laser cut front and placed the cardstock behind. It really shows off the design.
I stamped the sentiments in the same color as the cardstock and punched them out with the coordinating punch. The kit comes with 12 cards and envelopes so I have saved the other 10 for another project. One idea I had is to take Wink of Stella or some sheer glimmer paint and spread it over the laser cut to add some sparkle. If you decide to do that, paint the laser before adding the cardstock. Use a scrap piece of paper underneath.
Beautiful elegant cards that take no time to create. Until next time…
