I am normally a mini book album creator and card creation is a bit out of my element. However, creating mini albums takes quite a bit of time and a lot of supplies, paper being the most. I wanted to step out of my comfort zone a bit and try new things such as card making and my adult coloring.
Today, I wanted to share a quick card I made using the Stamping’ Up! Above the Clouds stamp set along with the coordinating punch. While the card is simple, I did struggle. I had to plan how to fit what I wanted on a small card base and things were a bit foreign to me.
The card is a standard A2 card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2). The base of the card is Highland Heather. I trimmed down the card front to 4 x 5 1/4. There is a lot of second generation stamping. I stamped the clouds in Balmy Blue, the purple balloon is Highland Heather, the second balloon is Terracotta Tile (popped up on demensionals), the baskets are Soft Suede. The hearts are Rococo Rose with Glossy Accents.
As I look at the card, I think it would look really good if I would have heat embossed the sentiment but for my first card in a long time, it looks pretty good.
Well, that covers it for today. Thanks so much for stopping by!
